On
Saturday, June 6th, major construction of the dog park began with the
installation of the water line. Thanks to the immense generosity of
Grant Perry of Perry Excavation, we wrangled hundreds of feet of ornery
PVC pipe into a trench for the dog park's water line. It was a messy and
exhausting job, but thankfully the temperature was in the 60s, not the
90s!
On Saturday, June 27th, we started
constructing the fence. Work began at 7:00 a.m. and ended promptly at
4:00 p.m. Well, not exactly at 4 because our volunteers were so eager to
get the fence up the first day it was hard to get them to put down
their shovels. Amazingly, we'd finished over three quarters of the
fencing by the end of the day!
