The off-leash dog park is located on a city-owned parcel adjacent to the Cedar River Trail, site of the old NARCO (Denny-Renton) brick plant.

The
site itself is mostly level, with a surface consisting of gravel,
crushed rock, and compact dirt, mostly covered by short grasses.
Drainage is excellent through this semi-porous surface, except for in a
few low-lying spots.
